The
Cairngorms Gliding Club was my first introduction to the Feshie
Bridge area of the Cairngorms. I first took a glider up there
on holiday in the 70's, and made subsequent trips until I ceased
to fly in the mid 80's. This hangar and some huts behind were
the only buildings on the airfield at the time. A later innovation
was a flushing toilet but the water had to be carried in buckets
from the river. Some 20 years later I return to find they have
a new clubhouse and large hangar provided by the National Lottery.
